Chairman Message
Abdelaal Khalifa
Paper of all kinds is one of the most important elements of modern life for humans, as it enters the fields of spreading education, culture, media, scientific research and all what is written on paper, as well as paper enters many industries and packaging processes to the extent that it replaces some textiles according to their areas of use. The paper industry is considered a heavy industry and requires high capital and great competencies in order to be in line with the characteristics and specifications according to the international standards and quality grades. It is constantly evolving and pushes researchers in the branches of mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering to more effort and research to reach what is better in terms of product efficiency and cost saving, whether in the raw materials used, chemicals, energy and human labor. The paper industry also needs large quantities of water, which is considered one of the precious materials currently due to the water crisis in many countries of the world, which led to the reuse of water by chemical and mechanical means to save the consumed amount of it and not to put pressure on the drainage networks. Therefore, we considered that the Middle East Paper Exhibition is one of the important elements in introducing this industry and standing on its importance and all areas of specialization in it, as well as all employees of the supporting companies to promote this industry
in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
